On the Rock, with a twist.

To quickly finish up the House on the Rock adventure -- it's endless wonder and weirdness: coin operated musical instruments, a recreation of an old-time avenue, random memorabilia, a three-story whale fighting and three-story octopus, taxidermy, trinkets, ice cream parlors, fortune tellers, and if not THE, certainly ONE of the world's largest carousels. It was that last room that I really wanted to see, thanks to a Neil Gaiman story. It was also the room that we walked into, alone, and were told that we had to leave due to a mysterious power outage. I don't think that the universe was ready for us to come together quite yet [American Gods will tell you why]. We snapped a few photos from afar and reluctantly left. Next time, carousel. Next time.
